There are a handful of tips for quieting your cannabis grow room.

Yes, your marijuana or cannabis grow room can become quite noisy and subsequently a nuisance, if you cannot control or quiet the noise. If your goal is to keep your cannabis grow on the down low, you may need to silence the grow room. Where does all this noise come from? Well, it usually comes from the extracting tube vents, exhausts, and electronic elements from growing indoor cannabis.

The Annoying Neighbor

In most cases, you may not find it irritating and inconvenient to listen to vibrations, roaring and whooshing, but the people in the house next door may think so, not to mention that nosey neighbor who doesn’t understand that you are growing cannabis legally.

You don’t want to leave yourself open to hearing a knock from law enforcement, trying to investigate your indoor grow room. The good news, though, is that you can silence your cannabis grow room without having to spend too much money.

Below are several tips that will help you to significantly reduce the noises in your grow room. It will also help you to lessen the risk of being discovered, resulting in growing marijuana legally and peacefully inside your home or greenhouse.

Tips For Quieting Your Cannabis Grow Room

Fan Vibration

When the fans used on the marijuana plants vibrate, they make a lot of noise through the walls, ground, and possibly ceiling. If you suspend or isolate the fans from its surface, you should do so by mounting the fans in a special enclosure like a wooden box. Make sure that you use bungee cord to suspend the wooden boxes, leaving it hanging from the ceiling.

The air ducts should be suspended in a similar way. For the best results in noise reduction, make sure to isolate as many air ducts and fans as possible. The wooden boxes should absorb most of the noise. More importantly, when you suspend the boxes, there will be fewer vibrations from the walls.

Rubber Mats

If you use water pumps or air pumps in your cannabis grow room or greenhouse, don’t just place them on the floor, table or shelf. Instead, you should place them on rubber mats to reduce the noise. If you don’t have the budget to purchase a rubber mat, then use a yoga mat. It will work just the same.

Don’t place your water pump in any enclosure. You will risk damage to the pump and it is also a huge fire hazard.

Soundproofing Grow Room

To minimize the noise in your grow room, use heavy curtains at the windows to try and block out the vibrations and noise. You could also consider using rubber at the windows for better noise reduction.

Muffling the Sound

Most of the noise will come from your exhaust duct. You could restrict the sound by adding a muffler to the exhaust duct. You could either purchase or muffler or make one yourself.
