Orange Crush is a personal favorite of mine in terms of soda which is why we have to unlock the secrets to the Orange Crush strain! Citrus strains are some of the favorites in the cannabis community due to their flavor and unusually high THC percentages.

Orange Crush can be enjoyed with moderate users to a great extent. Newer consumers might want to back off of this a bit before they truly get crushed by Orange Crush. If you regularly take dabs, you will be fine as you are always already a THC juggernaut of a human being.

Orange Crush Strain Genetics

Is Orange Crush strain an Indica or Sativa?

Orange Crush is an 80/20 Sativa-dominant hybrid of Blueberry and California Orange. The CBD levels are low but there are still medicinal benefits that will be discussed below. The head high is energizing which can keep you in a great mind space during a day where it might be rainy or you have nothing to do/nobody to see.

Blueberry is an Indica-dominant hybrid that has been measured at up to 24 percent THC. This has even won awards worldwide for best Indica at the Cannabis Cup. You will feel euphoric yet hazy which can lead to sleep if you consume too much or are a bit tired from the day.

California Orange strain doesn’t pack the biggest punch at 8 to 15 percent THC so it can be perfect for beginners. You can feel energized yet focused with this strain that is immensely easy to clone. There are even people that use this to get work done at it helps that develop that tunnel-vision that they need to get things done.

Finding strains that have similar effects can allow you to choose which strains you truly enjoy. Durban Poison and Red Dragon are both potent strains that can deliver the same in terms of effects to Orange Crush.

Orange Crush Strain Yield

Orange Crush can be grown outdoors or indoors as it is a resilient strain in terms of growing under various conditions.

Indoors a grower can expect around 1 to 2 ounces per square foot. Outdoors, a grower can expect 2 to 3 ounces per square foot or around 550 grams per plant.

Orange Crush Strain Flowering Time

The flowering time of this strain is 10 to 11 weeks which is relatively long. The beauty of this strain is that the conditions outside in terms of humidity matter very little. This can be good for an indoor grower that isn’t sure how to ventilate although this could make any strain susceptible to mold.

Mold can lead to marijuana being unsafe to smoke or having to get rid of an entire grow exposed.

The appearance of this strain is going to be light green with a covering of trichomes. The orange aspect comes in the form of hairs that cover this strain.

THC Percentage Of The Orange Crush Strain

The THC percentage of Orange Crush ranges from 15 to 22 percent. On the lower end, this can be perfect for moderate users while the higher percentages should be reserved for daily smokers. The last thing anyone wants is to feel uncomfortable due to consuming just a bit too much in too short of a time period.

Flavor And Aroma Of The Orange Crush Strain

The flavor and aroma are obvious in this strain as they are both of oranges. The aroma does have a sour yet earthy hint to it which is something to keep in mind. The terpene profile is dominated by Valencene, Caryophyllene, Ocimene, and Linalool.

Valencene is named after Valencia Oranges which is obvious what this tastes like. This is a relatively rare terpene that has an anti-inflammatory effect. Strains that contain this terpene include Tangie and Jack Frost.

Caryophyllene is usually associated with a spicy taste that also helps certain patients reduce pain nearly immediately. Strains that are high in this terpene include Amnesia Haze and Strawberry OG.

Ocimene has a sweet yet earthy taste and can give you a bit of energy/uplift your mood. Strains that are high in this terpene include Sensi Star and Sherblato.

Linalool has a spicy yet floral aroma/flavor that can help reduce pain in consumers. Strains that are high in this terpene include Blueberry Blast and Motorbreath.

Medical Conditions That Orange Crush Strain Can Help

Marijuana has yet to reach its full potential in terms of the benefits that its compounds can yield. Federal legalization will allow extensive studies to be federally funded that will truly show the true power of this plant. Orange Crush can help with the following medical conditions:

  • Anxiety
  • Chronic Pain
  • Depression
  • Fatigue
  • Loss of Appetite
  • Migraines
  • Mood Swings
  • Nausea
  • PTSD
  • Stress

Even with the low CBD levels of this strain, you can see how much THC and other cannabinoids can benefit a consumer. Cannabinoids work together to potentiate one another which a number of consumers might not realize. Added CBD to THC will help maximize benefits rather than have their own specific benefit.

It is a much better idea to try to find a dispensary or cannabis grower with seeds in your local area to avoid potential penalties. Or even better, use clones from a healthy marijuana plant and from weed seeds.

Final Verdict On The Orange Crush Strain

Orange Crush is definitely a strain that you need to try when you see flower or seeds available. For those that love strains that taste like citrus much like that of Tangie, Orange Crush can truly give you that sweet taste of oranges that you love. The moderate THC range at the lower end makes it one that nearly everyone can enjoy.

Growing this strain should not be too difficult as it is rather resilient. This does not mean that a first-time grower won’t be able to kill it but growers without experience are prone to silly mistakes. Getting the help of a commercial grower can help them instill years of their experience into a single grow of yours.

CTU has helped thousands of people grow the best marijuana of their lives via our online cannabis school. Our faculty has master growers that have won awards all over the world for the quality cannabis they grow. Learning from the best is the only way to become the best when it comes to growing marijuana.
