The one thing that announces you are smoking weed is the potent smell. You just cannot avoid it. It is immediately recognized and the aroma can be detected from far away. Thanks to some weed geniuses, there is now different ways to mask that marijuana smoke smell.
For one, the Do It Yourself filter that is called a sploof is the way to do so. This nifty device can help prevent people from smelling your weed smoke and giving away your secret. This article will discuss the steps to making sploof from marijuana plants. What is a sploof? This may be your first question. Let's take a closer look.
The Basic Explanation
You could say that a sploof is the best friend that any cannabis enthusiast would desire as it relates to being able to discreetly smoke a joint. The sploof would be similar to how a car muffler would look, but smaller. A muffler on a vehicle can be quite loud and noisy where you hear the car coming miles away.
The muffler is used to reduce the loud noise by using perforated tubes to monitor the sound waves. The perforated tubes act as a reflector of the sound waves, cancelling them out quite effectively. This allows the engine noise to be undetectable to anyone that is not inside the vehicle.
A sploof is a DIY piece that filters the scent of weed from getting all over a room when smoking it.
Sploofs are easy to make and cheap so you can make many sploofs if need be.
In essence, a sploof is a tube with a filter on one end. Upon taking a hit from a bong or joint, the smoker exhales into the open end of the tube, filtering the smoke and preventing it from causing suspicious smells from arising within the residence. Below is a guide on how to construct your own cannabis concealing device.
Minimizing the Smell
You make a sploof to filter the weed smoke that is exhaled. This minimizes the smell from the weed smoke that normally circulates in the air. There are some individuals that get fancy about how they make their sploof from marijuana plants. Some people make it look too complicated and intricate. However, you don't have to get fancy. You can just simplify how you make it by using basic steps that are easy to follow. You don't even have to go out and buy any materials. Some of these items you could find in your home.
Once you make your sploof, you would exhale the smoke through you sploof instead of releasing it in the air from your bong or joint. The smoke would pass through the filtering agent that is inside your sploof. The filtering agent helps you to lose the odor. This is no science and it does not have to be difficult to make as the car muffler.
Things You Need
You will need to get the materials ready to make this affordable device. It will be worth the effort, if you don't want anyone to smell weed made from marijuana plants. Make sure you have:
Get our top rated STRAIN GUIDE!
- Toilet paper roll (you can choose a plastic bottle instead)
- Pair of scissors
- Dryer sheets
- Rubber band, tape or string (optional)
If you chose the toilet paper roll instead of the plastic bottle, be sure to remove any excessive toilet paper on the roll. If you opted for a plastic bottle, be sure to cut off the top with your pair of scissors. Make the cut a little above the label.
Get three or four dryer sheets and stuff it inside the toilet paper roll or plastic bottle. Make sure they aren't tightly packed. Loosely put them in a ball to fill up the cardboard container or plastic bottle container.
You can begin using the sploof now, if you don't have enough dryer sheets and don't intend on making a mouth guard. If you don't want the dryer sheets to fall out, then it is best to make a mouth guard, even though, it is optional.
The Mouth Guard
Make the mouth guard by using one dryer sheet to cover up the end part of the sploof. Secure the dryer sheet with a rubber band, string or tape.
