CBD cream is not like any other cream that you find on the shelf in a beauty store or pharmacy. It is made when CBD is extracted from cannabis and mixed to make a cream for the treatment of a various skin conditions.

A lot of big pharmaceutical companies make their own creams and lotions using various kinds of preservatives and additives. However, CBD creams have basic ingredients that can be found in your kitchen. As a matter of fact, you can use those same kitchen ingredients to make your own product.

The Difference Between CBD Oil and CBD Cream

The main difference between CBD creams and CBD oils is the cream is applied topically to the skin while the oil is administered sublingually under the tongue. If you don't like to take anything sublingually, then the cream would work better for you.

The cream may have a better smell than the oil, but it cannot be consumed or ingested through the mouth. Of course, if you were to consume CBD cream, it won't kill you. However, you might get stomach cramps from ingesting it and the pain could be difficult to bear. So, please refrain from eating it.

The High

You don't have to worry about CBD creams getting you high. It doesn't do so because there is none or very little THC content in it. CBD products whether they are tinctures, oils, strips, edibles or creams usually do not have enough THC to give the user a high. To get high, your product must have more THC than what is found in most CBD products. THC is the compound that is psychoactive.

So, before leaving your house, you can put on your CBD cream and step out in confidence.

Side Effects of CBD Cream

You don't have to be concerned about side effects because the CBD cream does not have any. If your skin is sensitive because of allergy, then you might want to read the ingredients. For example, if the product has beeswax, olive oil or vitamin E oil and you are allergic to those, then you might consider it a side effect.

However, most of the ingredients found in CBD creams are harmless and so, you shouldn't have any problems. If you were to consume the cream, then you might have real life consequences that would be very uncomfortable.

The major concern in this scenario would be the latter, especially for people who are taking medication for a heart condition. The heart medication might not work as it should. So, it is best to consult your physician prior to consuming any product made with CBD. And more importantly, use CBD cream on your skin only.
