Granddaddy Purple

The Granddaddy Purple strain is timeless. It was established earlier on in the year 2000. This genetic strain is a cross between Big Bud and Purple Urkle. Granddaddy Purple is a known California strain producing bigger buds than normal. It has a blueberry flavor and rich in trichomes. If you are looking for a solution for insomnia, this would be the ideal strain. It is also good for nausea, pain and a lot more symptoms.

To grow Granddaddy Purple, it is best to do so indoors. It is helpful to grow it in an environment where it can be properly pruned and the humidity indoors can be controlled. In so doing, it will keep mildew at bay. Even though, it is best grown indoors, it can also be grown in soil. The flowering time for this and other cannabis strains is eight weeks and the yield is high. The difficulty level for growing this strain is from easy to moderate. It is best to grow in a dry climate. If it is grown outdoors, it can still flourish in a little cold weather, but not a lot. In fact, it should be grown in temperature of 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

OG Kush

One of the most popular cannabis strains is OG Kush. This one is famously hybrid in genetics. You can expect to experience euphoria when this strain is consumed. It gives a mild sedative and calming effect too. It has a pungent and earthy smell. When the buds go through the blossom process, it does so with visible resinous crystals. OG Kush is well known in the underground world and for that reason became a household name. It is known for its high quality and amazing high.

To grow this strain, it has to be pruned to improve its air flow so it will prevent mildew. Both the SOG and SCROG methods can be used to grow this strain indoors. This helps to increase its bud size and its yield. During the growth process, the buds can get very dense and heavy and so it should be well supported in a hydroponic set up, helping to maintain a healthy immune system. The strains' flowering period is also eight weeks and the yield is moderate. The grow process is challenging. This is one of the cannabis strains that do better in low levels of humidity and colder temperatures than the Granddaddy Purple.

White Widow

One of the cannabis strains that are also popular since the 1990s is White Widow. It originated from the Netherlands and is a hybrid strain. White Widow is a cross between landrace sativa strain from Brazil and indica strain from South India. It is known for its high level of potency. It has a lot of resin and trichomes, offering the user a relaxing high. SCROG is one method used to grow White Widow. It is best grown indoors and has to be sufficiently pruned to remove vegetation that is unnecessary. The flowering time is between 8 to 9 weeks. The yield is from moderate to low and the growth process is challenging. If grown outside or inside, the temperature has to be mild.

Sour Diesel

Sour Diesel is one of the cannabis strains that you may have heard about too. It is dominant in sativa with a hybrid touch. It is a cross between Super Skunk and Chemdawg 91. The smell is pungent and gives the user a relaxing high. To grow Sour Diesel, you have to consider excessiving training, pruning and topping. It can be grown indoors and outdoors. The flowering time is 10 to 11 weeks. The yield is moderate and the growth process is from moderate to challenging.
