Industry Snapshot: Medical Cannabis in Arkansas

Currently, only medical cannabis use is legal in the state of Arkansas. The state's medical cannabis program was approved in 2016, but didn't start up until May 2019. Ever since then, its medical cannabis patient count has skyrocketed.

Support among state residents and legislators is growing. In 2020, activists fell short of obtaining the necessary petition signatures for a ballot initiative due to coronavirus restrictions. Advocates are setting their sights now on the 2022 ballot.

Now’s your time to become part of the state’s cannabis workforce.
