How to Make Cannabis Infused Wine

December 12, 2017 by Cheryline

Cannabis Infused Wine

Cannabis Infused Wine

Cannabis infused wine is one of the things that has made its way on marijuana dispensary shelves and online. It is taking the cannabis industry by storm. Some of the other beverages include Mount Joy, DBD Living Water and Keef Cola. These cannabis products are being sold legally in the cannabis marketplace. Let’s call the cannabis infused wine “pot on the rocks.”  It offers marijuana enthusiasts the chance to drink a delicious beverage that also carries a lot of benefit. However, to afford this wine, you have to live in a legal marijuana state and you have to be making some decent coins. Some people consider this a luxury item, but there are others that enjoy cannabis infused wine. To reduce the cost, you can make your own at home. It is to your advantage that alcohol is considered an extracting instrument. It is excellent for infusing the white or red wine that you like. And believe it or not, it is easier to do than you may think.

The Ingredients

There are certain ingredients you need to use for your cannabis infused wine and these include:

  • An eight of the best marijuana strain (choose your most favorite)
  • A bottle of red or white wine (make sure it is dry)
  • A baking dish (one that is small). It helps to decarb the weed

There are specific steps to follow as well. Let’s look at the steps now.

First Step

The first step is decarbing your marijuana bud. When you grow and cure weed, the THC remain in its acidic state. This is called THCA. To activate the THC effects in the brain, you have to apply heat in order to change the molecules. An eighth of the flower should be broken up into large pieces and placed in the baking dish. But, wrap it first in foil paper before placing it in the baking dish. You should now bake it at 220 degrees for only 20 minutes.

Second Step

Now, it is time to grind your marijuana buds. To do so, you may use a grinder or a pestle. These will break up the buds more so as to make the extraction process easier.

Third Step

Now, we are going to make tea bags to put into the wine. Use cheesecloth for the decarb flowers. Twist the cheesecloth and tie it into a knot. Put this in the wine both after submerging it in alcohol. This is the only way that the extraction process will work. Put the cork back on so you don’t lose the strength.

Fourth Step

It is now time to chill your wine by putting it in the refrigerator for about a day. It is the alcohol that is in the wine is what is going to extract all of the cannabinoids from the marijuana plant. Now, gently stir every four hours to improve the extraction results for the cannabis infused wine.

Fifth Step

Take out the tea bag when you get ready to drink your wine. But squeeze or wring out the tea bag before removing it so that all the cannabinoids and wine comes out into the bottle. If you skip this important step, then the cannabis infused wine won’t be as potent.

Final Step

Pour yourself a glass of wine and be prepared to relax. You have done it. Congrats. You have made cannabis infused wine for the first time. You should be proud of yourself.

Bear in mind that you may not be able to consider cannabis product distribution as the marijuana product dispensary owner would be able to do.  Learn more about cannabis infused wine by going to the Cannabis Training University.
