It is very important for everyone to detox from time to time, whether there is a habit of smoking weed or not. However, if you are one of those marijuana smokers that have to be interviewed for a job and you know you have smoked weed and the potential employer is asking for a drug test, then you have to flush the weed from your system. This is especially true if you really want to land that job. But, once the potential employer asks for a drug test, you don’t have to be discouraged. There are things you can do to pass a drug test.
THC remains in your system for about one week and if you are a heavy marijuana smoker, you may need more time to flush your system. It is better to know beforehand what should be done to get rid of THC metabolites. If you don’t have knowledge of what to do in advance, then you may consider turning down the job, but you don’t have to do so.
The screenings done during a drug test involves urine tests for THC metabolites. The question is what are these THC metabolites? Metabolites are the side effects or residue of marijuana once the body has already processed the THC. So, the person doing the testing is going to look for THC metabolites or THC-COOH presence in your system.
Preparing for the Drug Test
To ensure that you are prepared for the drug test, you have to know how much THC metabolites you have in your system. You also have to be aware of the accepted testing levels for a drug screening. If you are like other marijuana smokers, you have to be aware of how long you have had the marijuana in your system. It is not that complicated.
The Time Period
As mentioned before, THC metabolites remain for a week, in most cases. For that reason, every seven days, the THC metabolites that are in your body is reduced by fifty percent. Therefore, the assumption is that you won’t get rid of one hundred percent of the THC metabolites until about 2 to 4 weeks since one week is half the life of the metabolites. It is significant to be aware that it will depend on how much marijuana you have smoked. Your weight have to also be taken into consideration.
Due to the fat-soluble characteristic of THC, it is stored in your fat cells as soon as the THC metabolites are released in your bloodstream. This is not beneficial to the purpose of passing a drug test. Marijuana smokers all across the nation have passed drug tests with a low level of THC metabolites still in their system. Your THC levels only have to be below the threshold of 50 mg/mL. And as long as your drug test comes back negative, you are in the clear. Now, how do marijuana smokers pass drug tests?
Passing the Drug Test
The first thing is dilution of your urine, but you have to cover this up so that the drug tester does not know that your urine has been diluted by you. How do you do this? Drink water mixed with apple cider vinegar to dilute the urine and flush your system. But, you should start drinking up to four liters of water, at least 3 weeks prior to the drug test. Drink more water a hour and a half before taking the test.
Things to Know
Creatine and Vitamin B are also two supplements that work together to get your urine just right so there is no suspicion that you are trying too hard to clean your urine. Take about 100 mg of Vitamin B12 or Vitamin B2 and creatine supplements several hours prior to the test. Do not exercise the day before the test because this will spike up the level of your THC metabolites. When you get ready to pass urine in the cup, wait until the middle of passing urine before you catch it in the cup. The first and last portion of the urine stream has the highest level of metabolites.
If you are one of those regular marijuana smokers, be sure to follow these measures before you go to do a drug test. To learn more about marijuana smoking and drug testing, go to the Cannabis Training University. All the best to you!
