Portugal Marijuana College

In Portugal, the government has taken a different approach when it comes to marijuana and other so-called drugs. It is not a criminal offense in Portugal to smoke weed as long as you are in possession of the weed for your own personal use. Because of this legality, the government has found that hard drug use have dropped among Portuguese residents. However, if you are a visitor to Portugal and you are not sure about the marijuana laws, be sure to carry small amounts of weed around with you because you don't want to experience any unnecessary run-in with the law to be jailed or to pay a heavy fine.

There is a lot more you should know about the marijuana laws in Portugal.
