Do-Si-Dos Strain History & Genetics

Created in 2016 by Oregon-based Archive Seed Bank, Do-Si-Dos built its claim to fame in Portland. As its popularity grew, the strain made its way down the West Coast and eventually reached the Colorado market. The rest is history.

Archive breeder, ThaDocta, captured the signature Cookies essence by crossing OG Kush Breath (OGKB), a phenotype of Girl Scout Cookies (GSC), with Face Off OG. Face Off OG's narcotic-like effects bring the face-melting potency, while the OGKB balances it out with its clear-headed and relaxing effects.

Flavor

Do-Si-Dos strain has a unique flavor that will excite your taste buds on the inhale and exhale. A burst of bright lemon and lime flavors instantly coats your palate.  The tart, citrus flavor is balanced by a subtle floral sweetness.

Hints of earthy pine, soil, and diesel add to the complexity of the taste. OG and Kush flavors unite to bring you a balanced mix of doughy sweetness and spicy earthiness. It tastes good enough to eat.

Aroma

If you love OG aromas, you'll love this strain's invigorating mix of citrus, pepper, and floral notes. Pungent, sweet, and funky at the same time. This indica-dominant hybrid strain has a rich and earthy smell paired with strong notes of lavender and citrus.

Slightly nutty and doughy notes are overshadowed by its sweet and funky scents. Its limonene (citrus), caryophyllene (pepper), and linalool (floral) terpenes add to the euphoric and relaxing effects.

Effects

Do-Si-Dos' high THC content delivers blissful, calming, and sedative effects. If you're looking for a stoney experience, this indica-dominant hybrid strain is for you. Initially, you'll feel a rush of euphoria flood your brain leaving you happy and stress-free.

However, these energizing effects taper off into a relaxing and comfortable experience. A serene mindstate is followed by slightly narcotic effects that can deliver a body buzz from head to toe.

For medical users, this indica hybrid strain offers potent medicinal effects for a variety of symptoms. Its heady and stress-relieving effects can help manage symptoms associated with anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders.

Eating and sleeping disorders can also be alleviated with its calming and sedating effects. Some patients have had success using this strain to treat nausea and minor aches and pains.

Its main selling point, the high THC content, can be debilitating for some. If you take higher doses than you're used to or if you're a new user, you can feel mild negative effects if you over-consume. Its high THC content can lead to paranoia and anxiety, especially if you're anxiety-prone. Otherwise, you may experience dry mouth and dry and itchy eyes, but overall a pleasant experience.

Appearance of Do-Si-Dos Strain

Do-Si-Dos' buds definitely elicit a double-take. This strain has an alluring lime green and lavender-colored hue. Bright and rusty-colored pistils offer a striking contrast of color.

Its glistening trichomes create a mesmerizing shine over its vibrant foliage. Its dense and resin-coated buds usually have an elongated shape showing off its OG genetics. It almost looks too good to break up and grind.
