In this Cherry Glue Head strain review, we’ll be taking a look at a unique strain that is only produced by the original breeding group.

Andromeda Strains created their company as a haven for unique and rare genetics, meaning that Cherry Glue Head and the rest of their strains are hard to get. If you can find seeds or some dank bud, grab it as fast as possible!

Cherry Glue Head Strain Genetics

Andromeda Strains crossed Headband and Cherry Sauce to create the marijuana strain known as Cherry Glue Head.

Headband

Headband is a classic marijuana strain that has been around for decades. It is the result of crossing Sour Diesel and OG Kush. The lemon and diesel essence reflects its wonderful heritage.

One of the most interesting things about this strain is that users feel a tightening effect at the crown of their head when consuming Headband, almost as if they were wearing an actual headband!

Cherry Glue Head is far from the lone child of Headband. It has been used to spawn many child strains, including Pink Starburst and 3 Kings.

Cherry Sauce

The Cherry Sauce used for Cherry Glue Head is a proprietary strain from Andromeda Strains as well. They don’t sell seeds or clones of this strain and probably never will.

Instead, they use it to infuse unique genetics into their line of weed strains. It’s a cross of strains Cherry Pie and Original Glue. Other breeders do sell this strain, but it won’t be the exact phenotype that Andromeda Strains uses.

Andromeda Strains has used it to parent plenty of strains, including Black Magic, Berry Cherry Glue, and Galatic Cherries.

Availability Of Cherry Glue Head Genetics

Andromeda Strains does sell seeds through online seed banks. However, it can be hard to find Cherry Glue Head seeds at the moment. When they initially started selling them, they started by offering first-generation Cherry Glue Head seeds, meaning each seed would put out a unique phenotype.

More established strains all behave the same from seed to seed through selective breeding. Perhaps the unknown factor of the original seeds is why it’s currently hard to find Cherry Glue Head seeds.

Derivative Strains

Andromeda Strains has yet to produce offspring strains using Cherry Glue Head. If they continue to refine this strain into more reliable phenotypes, it’s certainly possible that we see new derivative strains using this rare ganja.

Cherry Glue Head Strain Yield

This strain can be grown indoors and outdoors. Due to the unknown phenotypes of Cherry Glue Head, it is hard to nail down the exact growing environment that suits this pot strain. The strain is known to do well with low-stress training.

The same unknowns can be said for the yields. Instead of technical data about growing and yields like many other breeding groups give, Andromeda Strains chose to allow growers to experiment for themselves and find new phenotypes that perhaps they didn’t even know existed.

Flowering Time

The flowering period for Cherry Glue Head lasts for 60 days. The buds are green and purple and feature long fiery-orange hairs the intertwine among the buds. The trichome coverage offers a glistening appearance as well.

Cherry Glue Head Strain THC Percentage

Yet another unknown with this cannabis strain. Andromeda Strains isn’t the type of breeding group to go out and get analytical data on their strains as they are more about procuring rare genetics than ultimate potency.

The unknown phenotypes that come along with growing Cherry Glue Head also create the possibility for wide-ranging potency levels. One batch could offer an entirely different experience than the next!

The Sauce and Headband are both quite potent. Both of them typically test between 18-21% THC and offer energizing highs, meaning that Cherry Glue Head could offer something similar.

Flavor & Aroma

The Sauce is dominated by chocolate, lime, and diesel. Headband is dominated by lemon and diesel. There is a high chance that Cherry Glue Head is full of citrus and diesel in the aroma and flavor profiles.

Terpene Profile

Just like with the lack of data on cannabinoids and growing behavior, the terpene profile of Cherry Glue Head isn’t well-known.

Using the parent strains for reference again, we see that The Sauce is rich in Limonene, Caryophyllene, and Pinene while Headband is rich in Myrcene, Caryophyllene, and Limonene.

Limonene helps fight stress and anxiety and contains a citrusy essence.

Caryophyllene brings a spicy element to the table and helps the body fight inflammation.

Pinene delivers an earthy essence and helps fight inflammation as well.

Myrcene helps consumers relax and is abundant in many cannabis strains.

Since Cherry Glue Head is so rare, you’ll probably be looking for alternative strains that offer similar (supposed) terpene profiles and effects.

There are over 300,000 jobs in the cannabis industry. CTU trained me for one of them!

If you like what Headband offers, you’ll also like Original Glue, Creme Brulee, and Platinum Kush. If you like more of what The Sauce has to offer, you’ll like Garanimals, Gushers, and Dizzy OG.

Medical Conditions This Pot Strain Can Help

It’s hard to tell at this point whether or not Cherry Glue has a lot to offer to medical marijuana patients. If it’s anything like its parents, it can be useful for treating:

  • Stress
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Fatigue
  • Chronic Pain
  • Insomnia

Whether or not Cherry Glue Head delivers these effects is still unknown. Hopefully, seeds will become more readily available and more people will try this unique cannabis strain to tell the world!

Final Words On The Cherry Glue Head Weed Strain

Cherry Glue Head won’t become a mainstay at your local dispensaries or nurseries if Andromeda Strains continues its unique path in the industry. However, this means that home growers who want something they can find on the shelves can buy seed stock from them and grow something nobody else around them has!

If you do get your hands on Cherry Glue Head seeds or clones, ensure that you grow them correctly to maximize yields and potency.
