Kush strains originated in the Hindu Kush Mountain range which is in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India. Kush strains have a resilience in harsh climates. They also have a shorter flowering time compared to Haze strains. Kush strains are indica-dominant.

Haze strains originated from California in the 1960's-1970's. They are sativa-dominant with genetics that are Mexican, Southern Indian, Thai and Colombian. They have longer flowering times.

Kush strains tend to have a pungent smell with earthy and piney aroma. They taste woody, earthy and sweet.

Haze strains aroma is spicy, herbal and sometimes citrusy. They taste sweet, citrusy and earthy.

Kush strains carry indica-dominant effects such as sedative, body-high and relaxing. They are more suitable for night time use and are used for stress relief, sleep aid and pain management.

Haze strains give off more sativa-dominant effects like uplifting, energetic and a cerebral-high. Haze strains are better suitable for day time use and are used for creativity, socialization and focus.
