You might not be thinking you are reading about an uber-powerful ganja strain when starting to read the ultimate White 99 strain review. White 99? That doesn’t sound particularly potent like some other strains!

Don’t judge a book by its cover and don’t judge a cannabis strain by its seemingly innocent name. Let’s see what White 99 has to offer besides a forgettable name.

White 99 Strain Genetics

White 99 is a 70/30 sativa-dominant hybrid cannabis strain that results from crossing The White and Cinderella 99. While these parent-strains sound like beginner’s fare, they are quite potent and deliver those same traits to White 99!

The White

The White is one of the most unique marijuana strains available. In the days of creating the most odorous strains possible, The White has little-to-no relatable cannabis aroma.

While breeders are trying to get their ganja to taste like berries and sweet cream, The White lacks a distinct flavor profile at all. It’s recommended for those who don’t like the flavor or aroma of marijuana!

But, this cannabis strain is uber-potent and looks like it is sprinkled with powdered sugar with its dense coating of potent trichomes. It resembles the OG Kush lineage without the essence. It has been used to spawn classics like White Fire OG and White Tahoe Cookies.

Cinderella 99

Cinderella 99, C99, or Cindy is best known for potent cerebral effects. It offers sweet and fruity flavors for consumers and high yields for growers. A real win-win!

Growers love a short and stocky plant with a short flowering time like C99. Consumers love the dreamy and euphoric effects.

It’s only right that Cindy has been used to spawn new child-strains to pass on the great traits. Amnesia is a spawn of Cinderella 99 and Jack Herer that should be a choice for those who like the effects of White 99 but desire a different terpene profile.

Availability Of White 99 Genetics

White 99 is hard to come by as seeds or clones. The only way to grow it is to find someone with an established mother plant to take clones from or to find a stray seed from a batch to grow for yourself.

If you were serious about wanting to grow White 99, you could try your hand at breeding C99 and The White for yourself. Maybe you’ll discover some awesome phenotypes to start your career in cannabis breeding!

Derivative Strains

Since finding a way to grow White 99 for yourself is difficult, it makes sense that there haven’t been any notable new strains to be spawned from the White 99 genetics.  If you want to breed The White and Cindy as mentioned above, feel free to breed some child-strains while you are at it!

White 99 Strain Yield

There isn’t much published information about growing this potent pot strain. It can grow indoors and outdoors and isn’t known for wonderful yields like Cinderella 99. Instead, they are labeled as simply average.

One thing that tends to afflict growers of White 99 is wanting to harvest when the calyxes begin to turn yellow. Instead, judge the maturity of your buds by the trichome coloration.

Milky-white contains the highest amount of THC while waiting for amber can up to body-high effects of the bud. Harvesting too early will lower your yield and potency levels.

Flowering Time

White 99 will take 8-9 weeks to reach maturity throughout the buds. At this time, cannabinoid and terpene content will be at peak levels. Harvesting at the right time is only part of the battle. Next comes drying/curing, and storage. You can harvest at the exact perfect time and cure the buds bad or store them incorrectly and ruin your potency and essence.

The neon green buds of White 99 feature long orange hairs. The trichome coverage is brilliant, although it doesn’t live up to the extreme standards of The White. The trichomes are small in stature but still work to show off the potency of White 99.

White 99 Strain THC Percentage

No messing around with White 99. This bud strain routinely tests between 22-25% THC. This makes it one of the more potent ganja strains on the shelves. The ordinary name doesn’t do this hard-hitting strain justice! This bud is great day or night.

While the high is typically labeled as happy and uplifting, overconsuming White 99 quickly changes the experience. The experience is a creeper, so you can end up overconsuming before the effects even take hold.

Eventually, the strong effects grip your body and mind. The cerebral creativity and focus will have you entranced while your body is happy to stay put right where it is. The high isn’t overly relaxing or sedating, but it doesn’t deliver physical energy either.

Flavor & Aroma of White 99 Strain

Sour citrus and earthy freshness dominate the aroma. When the bud is burning, an earthy pine fills the air. The flavor is sour and tangy with notes of lemon and orange. Pine is also present on the exhale.

Terpene Profile

Limonene, Myrcene, and Caryophyllene are the most common terpenes in White 99. This combination of terpenes is known to help with:

  • Pain
